Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. She is originally from Houston and attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Sciences and Psychology. Jennifer then completed her Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. Jennifer is EMDRIA trained in EMDR therapy. She is also certified as a SYMBIS Assessment and Prepare/Enrich Facilitator to help dating, engaged, and married couples. Jennifer has worked in a variety of settings including a sober living home for women, nursing homes and physical rehabilitation centers, a nonprofit for victims of crime and trauma, and private practice. Jennifer has experience working with a variety of struggles including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, perfectionism, addiction, self-esteem, burnout, codependency, relationship issues, and spiritual concerns. Jennifer works with adults providing an eclectic, integrated approach; she uses a variety of theories and techniques to meet the unique need of each client including CBT, EMDR, and Christian counseling when requested. Jennifer believes faith and spirituality are pivotal components of growth and healing and she enjoys working with people of all belief systems, worldviews, cultures, and backgrounds.
Jennifer considers it a privilege to counsel others- to hear people’s stories, witness immense courage and resilience, help carry someone’s burdens, celebrate each individual’s beautiful, unique humanity, and allow someone to feel seen and heard. Jennifer aims to help each client find peace, joy, healing, meaning, growth, and acceptance.
Jennifer is a 1w2 (for the Enneagram fans) who considers Leslie Knope to be her spirit animal. When she is not at work Jennifer enjoys watching movies, coffee dates with friends, and spending time outside with her dog Watson.
