Rebecca graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin, a Master’s degree in Education from the University of North Texas, and a Master’s in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. She spent 5 years teaching elementary school, stayed at home with her children for a number of years, and then returned to graduate school to earn a Master’s degree in Counseling.
Rebecca has been counseling individuals, couples, and families for over four years in private practice and at the Meier Clinics and has experience working with ages 6 through older adulthood.
Due to her life experience with infertility, pregnancy loss, and relationship issues, Rebecca has been on a very personal journey towards healing and renewal and desires to share the hope and wellness that an authentic therapeutic relationship can help bring about. Rebecca believes that each person is the expert in his or her own life and desires for each client to teach her about that personal experience so that she can join with the client on the journey towards wholeness.
She has experience working with grief and loss, anger, infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, affair recovery, boundary issues, marital conflict, family systems work, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Rebecca is, above all, thankful for the grace that God extends to her minute-by-minute, day-by-day.
Personally, Rebecca enjoys trying out new restaurants, traveling, reading, and spending time with friends, family, and especially her husband, four children, and her dog, Hank.
"When we deny the story, it defines us. When we own the story, we can write a brave new ending."
