I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and moved to Dallas, Texas eleven years ago. I hold my B.S. in Biology from George Fox University and my M.A. in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. My heartbeat has always been for human restoration. Starting out in the medical field, on the path to be a Physician’s Assistant, I found out quickly, through countless hours at hospitals and doctor’s offices, that the medical field did not fit who I was. I took my own mental health journey and found my true passion in the field of counseling. I fell in love with learning theoretical models and discovering the way God designed our brains. After completing my master’s program and working with some of the finest therapists in Dallas, I took a pause to invest in my family and homeschool our children. After a few years, it was time to return back to the field of therapy.

My journey in counseling is a testament to my belief in the resilience of the human spirit. I draw from a diverse range of therapeutic modalities and tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each person that walks in. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, bi-polar, addiction, and couple’s work. I am also trained in EMDR. Although I am a committed Christian, it is my greatest honor and privilege to walk alongside people of varying beliefs as it is my priority that each person’s story is honored. I strive to create a therapeutic alliance grounded in trust and authenticity. I love what I get to do, and I could not be more excited to be a part of Magnolia Counseling Group.
